The European Running Festival - Two Beskids is an event of international rank, which has been attracting many runners and fans of active leisure to Krynica-Zdroj for a few years now. Several routes, diversified in terms of difficulty, led through the Beskid Sądecki and Beskid Niski, as well as numerous events and associated runs - this is how this popular running event organized in the heart of the Silesian Beskid can be characterized in the shortest summary.
The Krynica event is aimed at professional mountain runners as well as amateurs and the youngest. The biggest challenge is, of course, the Krynica setka, a route as long as 100 kilometers. But the festival's distances have been prepared so that everyone can choose a run suitable for their age and skills. Therefore, there is the Pedestrian Run for children and teenagers, there is the Malopolska Dycha (at a distance of 10 km), Slotwiny Arena (20 km), the 40-kilometer Return of Nikifor, and the 60-kilometer run called Kiepura's Aria. The organizers have not forgotten about seniors. A Social Nordic Walking March is planned for them.
In 2024, the European Running Festival will be held for the fourth time. The event is scheduled for June 28-30. The purpose of the festival is, among others, to popularize mountain and trail running, as well as to promote a healthy lifestyle and active leisure. Part of the funds raised from the start fees will be donated to charity.
