Krynica-Zdrój promenade
Promenade in central Krynica-Zdrój is where the spa’s atmosphere is felt most strongly. This is the city’s beating heart, whatever the season. Along the promenade are mineral-water pump rooms, historic villas and venues that have created Krynica’s unique spa character for years.
One attraction is the wooden Main Pump Room – a glass pavilion with a steel structure where you can taste most of Krynica’s spring waters and visit an orangery filled with palms, date palms and other exotic plants. Next door stands the Old Spa House, with a restaurant, Ballroom and Mieczysław Pump Room. The Old Spa House was visited by figures such as Piłsudski, Reymont and Wyczółkowski. Central Krynica-Zdrój is also home to the Old Mineral Baths, recognisable by their clock tower, and the New Spa House with shops and a sanatorium.
The city centre also has a concert shell hosting open-air concerts. In summer, it is a great place to relax with music. A walk along Dietl Boulevards offers views of Krynica’s most stylish villas and numerous guesthouses, including Romanówka, Kosynier, Węgierska Korona, Małopolanka, Willa Białej Róży and Witoldówka.

Multimedia fountain in Krynica-Zdrój
Next to the Old Spa House, just by Krynica-Zdrój’s promenade, is one of the area’s most spectacular attractions – the multimedia fountain. Its modern design references the former Round Fountain, but its defining feature is the full synchronisation of water, music and light.
More than 90 nozzles create a harmonious spectacle: water streams dance to selected music, enhanced by colourful lighting. On windless days, the central nozzle can shoot water up to 10 metres high. The programme includes “Ode to Joy”, “The Four Seasons” and “Orinoco Flow”, with shows held daily from May to the end of October.
Visit Dukiet Park, home to a second multimedia fountain, popularly called “Setka” after its number of nozzles. Smaller, it can still enchant visitors with its evening show.

A short distance from Krynica’s promenade is the entrance to Spa Park, a green oasis that has been part of the city for over two centuries. Several paths lead to the summit, allowing you to choose a route suited to your abilities. Alternatively, take the funicular, which has operated continuously since 1937 and covers its 642-metre route in a few minutes.
The summit of Parkowa Mountain offers more than beautiful views. Attractions include Mamut Rope Park, with routes for children and adults, paradise slides and a 130-metre inflatable slide. After your activities, visit the Parkowa café and restaurant beside the upper station.

Nikifor, whose real name was Epifaniusz Drowniak, spent his whole life connected with the spa. Though he had no formal art education, he left hundreds of remarkable paintings – colourful, distinctive and deeply personal.
The museum is housed in the elegant “Romanówka” villa and presents the artist’s work from various periods, especially his highly valued interwar pieces.
